Have a lovely Wednesday.
Take care–Susan Kaye
Yes, I’m busy at all four of my part-time jobs now. It won’t take me long to catch my stride, I hope. ; )
I’ve heard about this “stride” of which you speak. I haven’t hit one yet, that I know of.
I do better when I’m in a tight routine. Weirdly enough, I don’t accomplish much when I have too much free time. I deflate like a leaky balloon.
You can draft off my tailwind. I’m in high gear now. ; )
I wish I were competitive enough to use it positively. I have gotten some editing done, and have written three blog posts for future use. Oh well, Onward.
Working to get my Teacher Game on … and adjusting to life with a new cadence. Tonight’s Back to School night. My chance to write is … now!
I’ll be sharing Charlie Carroll’s Rediscovering Routine–Why Five is Easier than Three with my high school students next week. What do you think of his simple “rule” for transforming resolutions into routines?
I agree. The lag days between performing and action are killers. Weekends are also killers. And another killer is the off, odd day when for no apparent reason you forget to do a task. I had a couple of those this summer in my reading and they were the hardest missteps to overcome.
It’s certainly true in my case. I go into organizational zen mode. I don’t even know myself how I get everything done. When I think about it, it’s exhausting – so I don’t think about it. I just prioritize and do things in order of importance. I like to make a list and check things off as I do them.
