Ain’t Nothing Like The Real Thing

… for Valentine’s Day.

Here is my Ben and his sweetheart, Jessica, two years ago at their junior/senior dinner. They’re not Austen actors, they’re real.

Jess is majoring in graphic design and photography at Portland State, and you can see her talent in putting this shot together. Ben, now a business major, followed her lead happily. He wears this hat from time to time.

All right, I can’t stand it. Here’s another shot of this blonde Barbie and Ken pair, this one at her home. These two are as good-natured as they are beautiful.

And I hope they don’t mind that I posted this! The photos have been in her Facebook album for two years. I’ve mentioned that the first would make a dandy book cover. Ben just rolls his eyes.

Dimples and curly hair, both of them.

I fear for these two. They go to school in downtown Portland. It’s like Babes in Toyland turned loose in the Urban Jungle. I comfort myself that they’re both athletes. They can run fast. And they travel together on the MAX train.

And if either of them read this, they’ll hate me for sure

Too cute! My younger daughter is on the cover for Legacy. Too bad she wasn’t dating the young man she brought home when we shot the cover. He’s the right height and build.

Yes. She’s in silhouette. I think I may put up a couple of chapters here with a preview of the cover.

Your son and his girl would make a great cover. Dimples!

Yesterday at lunch, Gayle noticed that we had naturally segregated ourselves into the dimpled and the non-dimpled. Too funny!

I have dimples! They’re on my face. Parentheses dimples.

I have them other places, too. But when dimples are on the thighs they’re not called dimples, are they?

    I hate the thigh dimples.

By the way, I just added the first chapter of Legacy to my author page along with a preview of the cover. I’d like to know what you think!
