Past, Present, Future

QmarkIf you could move forward in time, go into the past, or stay in the present, which would you do? And where would you go?

I would like to see the future, but since I don’t know how long this world will last, I can’t say how far I’d like to go. I suppose I would like to go back to my teen years. I’d like to look like I looked and physically feel again as good as I felt, but I wouldn’t want to lose the knowledge and experience I have now. I wouldn’t really want to live in Regency times. My time-switch story has made me focus on what life was truly like back then, and I wouldn’t want to live that way.

The past is a nonstarter for me. Pain meds, even over-the-counter improved daily and I don’t care to be without them. The future is a blank to me. I don’t trust human nature enough to think there will be great improvements to the human condition. I guess I’ll stay put here in the present and see how things unfold.

I am mostly happy where I am….can see traveling for a short time to either…to reminisce in the past or get a glimpse of the future…but just for a short time….I like living day to day….While my DH would love to travel back and live in the 40’s….feels he was born in the wrong era

I used to think I was “out of time.” Now I realize I just didn’t like adult responsibilities in the 20th century. As for the 40s, Husband and I cleared out a relative’s house after they passed away and found some ration coupons from WWII. The extra sugar and salt coupons issued in October for canning made us think. I think there was one left for shoes as well.

For as long as this economy holds out, I want to play here and nowhere else.

      Thanks for stopping by, Stephanie.
