I totally get it. Mel and I are aiming for a simple, understated, elegant wedding. She even has her bridesmaids in white.

I had seen some comments on Facebook about broken hearts and Cumberbatch so figured something in the romance department had taken place. It wasn’t until this afternoon I saw the announcement. This combined with last night’s episode of The Big Bang Theory in which Sheldon tells Any, “I love you too,” my faith in simplicity is somewhat restored.

Good luck on simple elegance when it comes to weddings. There is almost a plot to keep that from happening.

I got on the CumberWagon (patent pending) when he played William Pitt in “Amazing Grace.” He was exercising his soon-to-be-needed Sherlock Holmes muscles in that with all the snark and political double dealing. And, the golf scene with Gruffudd and Sewell was priceless.

And just as an aside, Cumberbatch’s mother’s name is priceless: Wanda Cumberbatch. That deserves a novel all it’s own.

Why yes, we DO want a piece of your mind. ;-)
