“Friday the 13th” eBook Giveaway

Friday the 13th.

Tradition tells us it’s a “freaky” day, when bad things can easily happen.

According to Disney, even a body swap!

Let’s bring on some good luck for a change. Like an eBook giveaway.

That’s right. I’m offering Darcy By Any Other Name — my lighthearted Darcy-Collins body swap — to one lucky winner.

This giveaway is limited to USA residents only. To enter, leave a comment here before midnight, Friday, April 13, 2018. I’ll draw names out of a hat and will announce the winner on April 14th.

Me, unlucky?  But I’m so cute and fluffy!

Do you already own a copy? Enter anyway! If you win, I’ll be happy to send the prize to a friend of your choosing.

Here’s my question for you. Which “Friday the 13th” superstition creeps you out the most?

  • black cats crossing your path
  • don’t walk under that ladder
  • bad luck comes in threes
  • don’t break the mirror
  • beware of those sidewalk cracks
  • don’t spill the salt
  • no umbrellas inside

Or perhaps you have another bad luck tale? Do tell!

Lia London and her daughter made this fun Freaky Friday Darcy review.

My birthday occasionally falls on Fri. the 13th and one year when this was the case my cat Lucky went missing. My brothers went off searching for him and one of my brothers returned home with my cat. He had found him at the side of the road hit by a car.

I don’t believe in superstitions as I have the Lord as my guardian and protector. But if I have to choose I would say bad luck comes in threes. I wouldn’t want to find myself in that situation.

I don’t have a problem with black cats (I had one when I was a child), ladders, open umbrellas, or the number 13. I’m just not a believer in superstitions. I’m more afraid of people than I am of anything supernatural!

Thanks for the giveaway! I have the book already, but I’d love to win it for a friend.

Oh, people. Yes, we can be quite scary. Selflessly noble, and the next minute so very selfish. I teach teens, and the contrasts are something else.

Thanks for entering the giveaway, Pam.

Hey Laura, I generally don’t think about “Friday the 13th” when it comes around. My days are so full I’m lucky if I remember it’s Friday. And then in the summer when the routine changes, I’m really lost. This book was one of my all time favorites. I already have the eBook so no need to include me in the drawing. Best wishes with your contest. Jen

I so get this, Jen. Days are full enough as it is, without Friday the 13th getting in the way. I didn’t even know it was nicknamed “Freaky Friday.” After the fact, when I saw that Amazon had assigned May 13th as the publication date, my son Michael did a double-take. “Mom, that’s epic. Your Freaky Friday (body-swap) book was released on a Freaky Friday?

Thanks for the kind words, Jen. If you can think of a friend who would enjoy this book, let me know and I’ll put you into the running.

Sure, feel free to put me in the drawing. I know several folks whose budget is a little tight and often look for a freebe. Thanks for the offer. Jen

I haven’t had any issues with Friday the 13th. We had two black cat when I was growing up and they were so sweet and fluffy!

I don’t own this one but would love to be added to the giveaway.

    Thank you, Sonya

Three cheers for sweet black cats! The one pictured here is my son and daughter-in-law’s Onyx. Love his expresdive eyes and soft-like-a-bunny fur.

Thanks for entering the giveaway, Sonya.

      Hi, NovElla!
I never noticed Friday the 13th much … until this book was published on that date. There is another in, I think, July and also in September.

      Thanks for entering the giveaway.

I read all the P&P fanfic I can get my hands on, so please add me to the list for the giveaway. I believe more in science & reason than in luck or superstition. I’m currently catless, so would be glad for a black (or any other color) cat to cross my path!

We are currently catless — petless — too. So much easier with my too-busy schedule. Like you, I would love to have a cat come for a visit. Or adopt us.

Thanks for enterint the giveaway, night stitcher!

I’m not superstitious, but death does seem to come in threes. My husband speaks and sings at many funerals, and I play for most of them. I guess I could say they come in fours or fives, too.

Congrats on your beautiful, new covers!

I was raised by a woman who thought anything out-of-the-ordinary was a harbinger of disaster. And many things ordinary By nature, I could not care less about superstition, until I am hemmed in by someone else’s. So, all Friday the 13th means to me is, blast this year is going by FAST!
