Robin Helm

Robin Helm’s time revolves around music as she dances (as badly as Mr. Collins), sings (a little better than Mary Bennet), plays (better than Marianne Dashwood – almost as well as Caroline Bingley), and teaches (channeling her inner Elinor). Her books reflect that love, as well as her fascination with the paranormal and science fiction. She lives in South Carolina and adores her one husband (Mr. Knightley), two married daughters (Elizabeth I and Elizabeth II), and three grandchildren.

In the past six years, she has published Understanding Elizabeth, as well as The Guardian Trilogy, which includes Guardian, SoulFire, and Legacy, and all three books of the Yours by Design series (Accidentally YoursSincerely Yours, and Forever Yours). All of my books are in the Kindle Match program (meaning that if you buy the print copy, the Kindle version is free), as well as Kindle Unlimited. Her most recent publication was A Very Austen Christmas, along with Laura Hile, Wendi Sotis, and Barbara Cornthwaite.

A Very Austen Christmas - jpegRobin Helm, Laura Hile, Wendi Sotis, and Barbara Cornthwaite revisit Pride and Prejudice, Emma, and Mansfield Park to deliver the uplifting holiday storytelling you’re looking for.

Her Christmas Gift by Robin Helm
Elizabeth Bennet finds herself snowbound at Rosings with two rejected, but highly eligible, suitors. Does either man have a chance? Will her childhood friend, Meryton’s golden boy, win her affection, or will she accept the master of Pemberley? Perhaps she will refuse them both a second time. Her Christmas Gift deftly combines tension and emotion with humor and romance.

The Christmas Matchmaker by Laura Hile
It’s raining; it’s pouring – and what could be better than a little Christmas matchmaking? So says Emma Woodhouse who is unexpectedly stranded at Netherfield Park. Mr. Darcy disagrees, for she has someone else in mind for adorable Elizabeth Bennet. Amid meddling, misunderstanding, and an unwelcome proposal or two, will True Love find a way?

No Better Gift by Wendi Sotis
On his way to Derbyshire to spend Christmas with his family, Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy plans to retrieve an item he left behind during his rushed escape from Netherfield—and the country miss who touched his heart. Finding Meryton practically deserted, he fears the worst. What fate could have fallen upon this once-thriving village in only three weeks? More importantly, was Miss Elizabeth Bennet in danger?

Mistletoe at Thornton Lacey by Barbara Cornthwaite
When Edmund Bertram realizes that Fanny is the perfect wife for him, he wants to propose without delay. What better time than at Christmas? Ah, but the course of true love never does run smooth …

Understanding Elizabeth

Mr. Darcy is tempted beyond what he can endure when Elizabeth Bennet leaves her private journal entries in the parlour of Netherfield. Upon reading her writing, he is appalled to find that she overheard his unflattering remarks at the Meryton Assembly and despises him for his thoughtless comments. He wishes with all his heart that he could undo the damage.
During a restless sleep, he dreams of two powerful beings who can give him his heart’s desire – Elizabeth’s admiration, respect, and love.

Will he take the offer to change the past so that he never makes the offensive statement? Will he make a deal with the Devil, or is the price too dear?

What would you do to get exactly what you want? How much would you be willing to pay?

Reviews: “Understanding Elizabeth just pulled me in from the very beginning and had me smiling throughout the entire story. As the story is told through Darcy’s POV, we are able to understand and even empathize with his character. Being privy to his insights and inner dialogues made the story evoke a range of feelings within me. There were times I just chuckled at his rants, at other times, I was just smitten with his sweet and kind actions, and then at other times, I just shook my head as he dealt with the jealousy of having a rival for his affections.” – Claudine Pepe, JustJane1813

“Helm does a great job bringing the secondary characters to life, but where the novel shines is in its first person narrative, as readers get to experience Darcy’s realizations of his perceived character, his efforts to change those perceptions, his weakness amidst a feeling of hopelessness, and his determination.”                                       Anna Bitgood Horner, Diary of an Eccentric

Guardian - Robin Helm

Guardian – Robin Helm

The powerful and imposing Xander/Darcy, chief of all guardian angels, has protected exceptional humans from demonic forces over the course of ten millennia without losing a single battle. In 1989, he receives an unusual assignment which will forever change his ordered existence and alter the course of human history. Will he lose the battle for his own heart while guarding supernaturally gifted Elizabeth Bennet from the evil which surrounds her? Will he be strong enough to resist her as she grows from a precocious child into a beautiful, intelligent woman? Robin, am I totally stupid or what? I read Accidentally Yours earlier this year and have carefully read blog posts about when to expect the other installments. So here I sit on June 30th of 2014 wondering why I cannot find Sincerely Yours since it is well past early Spring. Have I missed something?

No, Kara, you haven’t. Sincerely Yours is in final edits, and there was a holdup. I expect to receive those edits this week and publish next week. Thanks for reading Accidentally Yours. I promise you don’t have much longer to wait for Sincerely Yours, and I apologize for the delay.

Robin, Forever Yours is shaping up to be as wonderful as “Accidently” and “Sincerely”…Thanks for keeping the time travel…futuristic adaptations of Jane’s awesome books alive. By the way I was really caught up in the Guardian series and am so glad I found it after you finished all three. I couldn’t wait to get the next book. It reminded me somewhat of Frank Peretti’s series “Piercing the Darkness”, et al. I devoured those books years ago and they really made me seriously search for Biblical references about the spirit realm. Be blessed and know you are appreciated.

Thank you so much for taking the time to tell me that! Those books were relatively easy to write as so much of it was autobiographical.

I’m rewriting the Guardian trilogy as The Xander Chronicles. It is all from Xander’s first person point of view. I’ll have added and deleted scenes, but will remove the Austen elements. I’m aiming for YA paranormal.

Forever Yours should be out within a month. I’m near finished writing. It’s in edits, and I’ve already finished the cover. I’m so glad you like that series!

I’ll write more JAFF, but it will always have some sort of paranormal element. I love sci-fi.

I haven’t finished writing it yet, Jan. Life has been too crazy. Things should slow down a bit next week, and I’ll have more time to write. Thanks for asking.

glad to hear it hasn’t gone away completely! I read Understanding Elizabeth and Her Christmas Gift and was just wanting something new of yours… Do you think you will ever pick Austen Avengers back up again? I really liked the absurdity and change of pace.. lol
